Gadchiroli March 8 (District Correspondent) A tribal youth of the district, who had gone for a job in Tamilnadu has been missing and his family members are fearing for his life urging the police department to find him out. The name of the youth is given as Amardeep Sukhdeo Achla (22).
Four other youths of the district who too had gone with the said youth have however managed to return to their native places as they were disappointed on alleged non- receipt of their wages from the owner.
The episode came to light when the father and wife of Amardeep approached the office of the Superintendent of Police on Friday and filed a complaint in this regard.
Amardeep, a resident of village Wadegaon (Zendepar) in Armori taluka had gone to Salem in Tamilnadu for a job on the bore well rigging machine belonging to one Satish Kumar on the next day of Rakshabandhan along with his four other friends who live nearby his village. All the five used to live in a village near Salem and work as labourers on the bore well machine.
The four youths namely Parag Kumre from Kurandi (Mal), Gurudeo Karangami from Thotebodi and Bhagyawan Kirange and Shyamkant Dugge from Nagarwahi came back to their native places as they were not allegedly paid their wages fully. Amardeep however stayed back at Salem itself.
When the family members of Amardeep came to know about the return of the four ones, they contacted him and until February he was in contact. Since February 22 last however, the family members lost the contact with Amardeep and his phone also has not been working. They are therefore doubtful over the life of the youth and have filed a complaint with the office of the SP office urging the authorities to find out Amardeep.
Many people in the district often go to other states in search of jobs and have to face severe difficulties. A few months back, the labourers from Kurkheda taluka were rescued from Karnataka by a social worker as they were being exploited by the contractors, it should be mentioned here.
