
Gadchiroli Jan. 17 (District Correspondent) To be successful in life, purity of heart, restraint of mind and perseverance in work are very necessary. Only the mindset of giving up our selfishness and accepting the good of others generously can enrich us’.
This was asserted by Swami Raghavendrananda, President of Ramakrishna Math, Nagpur while inaugurating the Yugnayak Swami Vivekananda Kendra was at Gondwana University here the other day.
The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Prashant Bokare, while Pro-VC Dr. Shriram Kawle, was present as the chief guest.
Swamiji explained the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda in depth in his speech. He said that after reading Swami Vivekananda’s writings, it feels like he is talking directly to us. He emphasized that every living being is divine, his goal was to serve the living beings with the spirit of Shiva. He also said that truth is one, it only expresses itself in different ways.
Swamiji told the youth the importance of learning with concentration and said that freedom of thought and action is the hallmark of scholarship. He appealed to the youth to take steps that will translate their goals into action.
Swamiji said, ‘the uniqueness of all human beings in the world as well as all religions is innate and there is something good to be learned from each. For this, there should be generosity and intimacy. If the youth imbibe the mantra of Swami Vivekananda’s goal, they will be able to achieve their goals’.
After the inauguration ceremony, a play based on the life of Swami Vivekananda, produced by Radhika Creations, was presented. Swamiji himself was present at the play.
Principal Dinkar Wakde, Management Council Member Prashant Dontulwar and Sanjay Gore along with many members of the Management Council and the Senate were also present on the occasion. The program was moderated by Prof. Vikas Punse while the vote of thanks was proposed by Centre Coordinator Dr. Aparna Bhake.
Bhojraj Satpute, Vaishali Dhondare and Utkarsh Nagapure, the winners of the centre’s emblem competition, were given prizes.
