Gadchiroli Jan. 6 (District Correspondent) The graduation ceremony of the postgraduate course ‘SPARC’, a program against addiction in rural society, was held in the auditorium of Gondwana University on Saturday. The graduates of the previous two batches of this course, which was started in coordination with SEARCH and Gondwana University, were awarded degrees by dignitaries.

Dr. Abhay Bang, Director of SEARCH was the chief guest and Vice Chancellor Dr. Prashant Bokare presided over the program. Dr. Shriram Kawale, Dr. Manish Uttarwar, Principal Dr. Krishna Karu, SPARK coordinator Tushar Khorgade, Muktipath’s co-director Santosh Sawalkar, Bharat Gher were present on this occasion.

The students who completed the SPARC course were felicitated by awarding their degrees at the ceremony. Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Bokare congratulated the students in their inspiring speeches and wished them well for their future journey.

Dr. Abhay Bang said that “Work, Earn and Learn” is the mainstay of this course. The SPARK project has lit a spark in the lives of the students and this spark will create light for the society in the future, this is a successful experiment in education being conducted in 1500 villages of 12 talukas of Gadchiroli district through Muktipath. He expressed his belief that this course is not a classroom course, but a unique course that provides education in the actual village and other universities should start it. “The students have got a new perspective through the SPARK project, and its impact will be seen for many years to come in their lives,” he said on this occasion.

The Taluka Organizers and Counsellors of Muktipath, who were teaching the SPARK curriculum at the actual field work sites, as well as the Search resource person who were trainers, were felicitated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Bokare.

Various employees of Gondwana University, students, principals, Search organization workers, Muktipath district team, SPARK team, graduate students and their parents were present at the program. Mr. Bharat Gher, Coordinator of Adarsh ​​​​Graduate College, Mukesh Parate and all other employees worked hard for the success of the program.
