Gadchiroli Dec. 14 (District Correspondent) The Principal Secretary of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) Gajendra Surkar, visited the Gadchiroli branch recently and guided the workers about various activities taken by the Samiti throughout the year in a meeting held at the government Guest house here.
Mr. Surkar was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by the activists. To mark the completion of 35 years of the establishment of the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti, a three-day state convention is going to be organized at Alandi, he informed and gave details of the programme and appealed to maximum number of workers to attend the said convention.
Also, the District Working President Vitthalrao Kothare informed that the target given by the district branch to collect donations, subscriptions and advertisements for the annual special issue for the Gadchiroli district branch has been completed. For this, Surkar praised the workers and thanked all the branch office bearers of Gadchiroli district.
Mrs. Surkar, who was accompanying Mr. Surkar also narrated her experience about how she, an ordinary woman who fasted, performed puja, offered prayers, and performed rituals, came out of the rituals after coming in contact with the Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti and called upon the workers to register maximum women as the members of the Samiti.
The program was introduced by Mr. Vitthalrao Kothare. Upendra Rohankar conducted the proceedings and the vote of thanks was given by Principal Secretary Haridas Kotarange. On this occasion, Mr. Vilas Nimborkar, State Co-ordinator, Govindrao Brahmanawade, District Fund Manager, Lahuji Ramteke, City Branch President, Shabbir Sheikh, Wamanrao Bhoyar, Ms. Mahananda Nimborkar, Ms. Anjali Kothare, and Ms. Mala Rohankar were present.
