Gadchiroli Nov. 9 (District Correspondent) District Collector and District Election Officer Sanjay Daine has appealed the voters to maximize voter turnout in Gadchiroli district with a target of 80 percent voting and create a new record and a model of Gadchiroli district in the country in terms of voting.
As directed by Election Commission of India under (SVEEP) Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation for Voter Awareness for Maharashtra Assembly General Election 2024 is being organized in the district. The officers and employees of the various departments were administered a collective oath of voting in the premises of the Zilla Parishad on Friday. Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh, Dy. District Election Officer Vivek Ghodke, Additional CEO Rajendra Bhuyar, Social Worker Devaji Tofa, District Surgeon Dr. Madhuri Kilnake, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Dr. Sachin Madavi were mainly present on this occasion.
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, 72 percent voting was recorded from Gadchiroli- Chimur constituency and the Election Commission of India has appreciated the citizens of Gadchiroli for this turn out and peaceful conduct of the election, told Mr. Daine. Everyone coming to the government office should be motivated to vote and it should be ensured that at least 75 to 80 percent voting is done in the district, he appealed.
On this occasion, voting awareness board balloons were released in the sky by women officers and employees. Also, the voter awareness chariot was flagged off. A large number of senior officers and employees of the administration were present on this occasion.
