Gadchiroli Nov. 5 (District Correspondent) Congress party has fielded a loyal worker like Manohar Patil Poretti in the Assembly elections from Gadchiroli. Everyone should work for his victory and obtain the keys of power of Maharashtra.
This was appealed by the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar while addressing the Maha Vikas Aghadi workers after inaugurating the campaign office of the Congress candidate Mr. Poretti at Katratwar Complex here on Monday evening.
On this occasion candidate Mr. Manohar Patil Poretti along with Member of Parliament Dr. Namdev Kirsan, Congress District President Mahendra Brahmanwade, former ZP councillor Adv. Ram Meshram, senior leader Hasanbhai Gilani, Prof. Raju Katratwar, Pankaj Guddewar, Prabhakar Wasekar, Samsher Khan Pathan were prominently seated on the dais.
Mr. Wadettiwar said, a handful of people are trying to grab power by creating a rift in the society. Most of the sufferers in this political game is the OBC community. The Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi workers therefore will have to work with utmost consciousness alertness. The next generation, otherwise will have to bear the consequences of our mistakes and it will not forgive us, he warned.
Seeing that a large number of officials and activists were present in the campaign office till late in the night, Mr. Wadettiwar said the victory of Mr. Poretti is sure. Positive energy will certainly benefit Poretti’s victory, he hoped. This energy is necessary for victory, he asserted.
A large number of Congress and alliance party workers attended the programme.
