Gadchiroli Sept. 23 (District Correspondent) The office bearers of the district branch of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) were honoured in the state convention held at Latur recently for their outstanding performance and public activities to eradicate superstition.,
In the two-day convention prominent activists from all over the state had participated. The district working president of Gadchiroli Vitthalrao Kothare and the state co-ordinator of scientific education project Vilas Nimborkar represented Gadchiroli district.
The detailed report of the activities being carried out in Gadchiroli district was presented before the state convention. After seeing this report, the state officials appreciated all the officials of all branches of Gadchiroli district and expressed their surprise that such a work could be done so effectively in an area which is considered to be a tribal majority and naxal affected.
Impressed by the work of Gadchiroli branch, District Working President of Nanded invited the Gadchiroli team to visit the branches in his district so that the workers of some branches in Nanded district could understand how the work is done in Gadchiroli district despite odd condition.
Mr. Vilas Nimborkar and Vitthalrao Kothare told that even if after looking after daily routine, it is possible to do the work of eliminating superstition with a proper planning. He also mentioned the cooperation being given bythe local media in highlighting the work.
Secretary of Vidarbha Division Gajanan Surkar, Vilas Nimborkar and other officials were present on this occasion.
