Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar, Ms. Kusum Alam and others paying tributes to Hiralal Yerme.

Gadchiroli Aug. 7 (District Correspondent) Late Comrade Hiralal Yerme was the staunch follower of Shahu Phule Ambedkar ideology and was committed to the principles throughout his life. He never compromised for the narrow political gains, said Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar, senior leader of the Communist Party of India while speaking at the all-party condolence meeting here the other day.

The meeting that was held at Parishram Bhavan here was presided over by Dr. Kopulwar while Mr. Hansraj Undirwade, District President of RPI, Ms. Kusum Alam, senior tribal leader, Devrao Chawle, District Secretary of CPI, Prof. Prakash Dudhe of Republican Party, Haridas Kotarange of Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, Sukhdevji Vethe of Gurudeo Sewa Mandal, Vitthalrao Kothare, Dr. Pravin Kilnakake social workers were prominently present.

A portrait of Hiralal Yerme was garlanded by the guests and two minutes silence was observed to pay him tributes.

Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar shed light on the memories and work of Com Yerme by highlighting its various aspects as he has been associated with him for many years. With the demise of Yerme, progressive movement has suffered a heavy loss, he stated.

Ms. Alam said Comrade Hiralal Yerme was born in a poor family in a small village of Thanegaon in Armori taluka and was fond of reading, a studious thinker, attached to the movement, who followed the progressive ideas. He led many agitations for the poor and marginalized people enlightened the society through the meeting.

On this occasion, Mr. Ramesh Indurkar, Mukund Meshram, Upendra Rohankar, Prakash Khobragade, Gaurav Alam, Kunal Kovey were also present. Mr. Vilas Nimborkar conducted the program and also proposed the vote of thanks.
