Gadchiroli July 14 (District correspondent) Napur Nagarik Sahakari Bank Gadchiroli branch celebrated its 6 th anniversary by organizing a ‘Samajmitra Samman’ function here the other day under which many renowned social workers were accorded felicitation for their contribution in various fields.
The Bank has been showing its social responsibility along with banking business for the last many years. The activities such as blood donation camp, free eye examination and distribution of spectacles have been taken up by it.
The dignitaries, who worked selflessly in the social sector including Satya Sai Seva Samiti’s, Dr. Chandrakant Lengure, Mr. Bhushanji Samarth, Satish Adamane, President of Aadhaar Vishwa Foundation Ms. Geeta Hinge, Tribal activist and pioneer of Gram Sabha movement Devaji Tofa, Eye Surgeon Dr. Hemant Appalwar, Shri Gurudev Seva Mandal’s Dr. Shivnath Kumbhare. Prof. Savita Sadamwar, Former councillor Mr. Sanjay Meshram, social workers Prasad Pawar, Tanaji Bhandekar were felicitated by giving them shawls, and certificates for their outstanding work.
Speaking on this occasion Mr. Devaji Tofa gave information about the importance and rights of the Gram Sabha and also mentioned how the economic progress can be achieved by the unity of the tribal community.

The purpose of felicitating these personalities is to show their selfless work for the society so that everyone should be able to repay the social debt in their own way.
