Gadchiroli Jan. 22 (District Correspondent) As many as 6 youths from Gadchiroli district participated in the National Youth Festival at Hubli-Dharwad in Karnataka recently.
Anup Kohle, Radhika Juware, Pankaj Lade, Rishabh Meshram, Siddhi Upadhyay and Arbaj Shaikh were these youths.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of India had organized the country’s largest festival. The festival was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomai, Union Youth Welfare Minister Anurag Thakur.
The theme of this year’s youth festival was “Developed Youth – Developed India” in which were present.
More than 7500 youths from different states participated in this festival and activities mainly yoga, youth dialogue, sports, traditional dance, music, catering, etc. were organized. In this five-day youth festival, the youth of Gadchiroli district participated in youth interaction, yoga, and adventure village.
Similarly, during the five-day session, the youth of the district dressed up in various costumes and learned about their culture, costumes, dress, dialect, food, music festivals, etc. from the youths who came from all over the country. All participating youths were felicitated with an attractive badge of honour with khadi flag, certificate of participation.
The youth of the district thanked the Nehru Yuva Kendra and the District Youth Officer of Gadchiroli Amit Punde for getting the opportunity to represent the district through the Nehru Yuva Kendra.
