Gadchiroli March 29 (District Correspondent) As many as 517 young men and women were given offer letters by MLC Adv. Abhijit Vanjari at the graduate’s employment fair organized by Govindrao Vanjari Foundation at the Maharaja Celebration Hall on Friday.

The fair was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Anil Hirekhan, Registrar of the Gondwana University. Adv. Abhijit Vanjari presided over the programme while District Congress President Mahendra Brahmanwade, Shamsher Khan Pathan, Dr. Hemant Sonare, Raghuram Gaikwad were prominently present.

Around 36 companies from manufacturing, automotive, IT, banking, service, pharma, agriculture sectors participated in the graduate job fair. Company representatives interviewed the eligible candidates and selected the right candidates.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Hirekhan said that although Gadchiroli district is on the edge of Maharashtra, now big industries are coming here. Gondwana University is starting courses to provide education and training in the skills required for these industries. Graduates job fair is the best platform to give opportunities to the skilled students. The youth of Gadchiroli district should take advantage of such opportunities, appealed

Mr. Vanjari said, there is a need for skilled manpower in many fields. However, companies cannot reach the right person or the relevant persons can’t reach the companies. Govindrao Vanjari Foundation is working to bridge the gap between the two through the Graduate Employment Fair. We have provided an opportunity to provide employment by bringing various renowned companies from across the state at one place.

He appealed the youths to take full advantage of the opportunity and assured that Govindrao Foundation will continue to try for those who did not get a job or opportunity in this fair.

Mr. Brahmanawade drew attention to the unemployment in the district. Gadchiroli district is still known as a remote district. The youth here still face difficulties in finding jobs after education. In such a situation, Adv. Abhijit Vanjari has organized this fair is really a good initiative, he added. This is the first time that the youth of Gadchiroli district got such an opportunity, he noted.

Govindrao Vanjari Foundation Secretary Dr. Hemant Sonare explained the role behind organizing the employment fair for graduates in his introductory speech. Dr. Gopal Chavan conducted the program and Dr. Santosh Chakole proposed the vote of thanks. Thousands of graduate youths from Gadchiroli district participated in the fair.
