Gadchiroli May 10 (District Correspondent) Three youths working as trainee doctors in the Govt. District Hospital here were drowned in River Wainganga on Chandrapur Road this afternoon.
The names of these youths have been given as Gopal Ganesh Sakhre (20), resident of Chikhli in Buldhana district, Parth Balasaheb Jadhao (20), resident of Shirdi in Ahmadnagar district and Swapnil Shire (20), a resident of Sambhajinagar.
According to reports, some 8 youths doing their apprenticeship in the Govt. Hospital had gone to River Wainganga for taking bath as it was their holiday today. As they entered the water, three youths could not guess the depth of water and were drowned. On getting information, police rushed to the spot and started search operation but they were not found till the evening.
The search of the drowned youths will be resumed tomorrow morning, according to Mr. Teltumbde, District Manager of Disaster Management Cell.
