Gadchiroli May 8 (District correspondent) The rally taken up by the Communist Party of India under its ‘BJP Hatao-Desh Bachao’ campaign reached the city of Gadchiroli and was recieved by the representatives of various political parties of the district.
The public awareness campaign has been taken out from 14 th April last, the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and will be concluded on 15th May 2023. This mass awakening campaign was supported by Congress, All India Republican Party, BRSP, Shetkari Kamgar Paksh, Peoples Republican Party.
A corner meeting was held at Indira Gandhi Chowk in Gadchiroli as part of this campaign that was addressed by the leaders of the political parties. Dr. Namdeo Usendi of the Congress Party, Rohidas Raut of All India Republican Party, Dr. Mahesh Kopulwar of the CPI, Raj Bansod of BRSP, Vilas Nimborkar of ANS spoke in the rally and strongly condemned the policies of the central and the state government appealing the people to throw out this govt.
Ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in the country in the last 9 years, they have been implementing the policies that are anti-people, anti-democratic, anti-constitutional and in the interest of handful of industrialists like Adani and Ambani. As a result, inflation has increased tremendously in this country, pointed out the leaders. Instead of creating new jobs, workers are being removed from jobs, many government departments are not recruiting employees even though there are many vacancies, they said.
Fertilizers, medicines, seeds, as well as petrol, diesel and domestic gas prices have increased drastically. Farm produces prices are not guaranteed. Religion is being politicized by creating rifts between castes, and religions. Women are being exploited the most during the tenure of BJP. Crime is on the rise. There is a conspiracy to deprive the poor of education by privatizing education. Democratically elected governments are being overthrown by misusing unconstitutional ways and government agencies. Therefore, such a BJP government should be defeated in all the upcoming elections, it was appealed.
District President of AIRP Hansraj Undirwade, PRP’s Muneshwar Borkar, Congress City President Satish Viddate, Shekap’s Akshay Kosankar, District Secretary of CPI Devrao Chawle, Ad Jagdish Meshram, Keshaorav Samrutwar, Pradeep Bhaisare, Bharat Yerme, Ashok Khobragade, Sunil Chadgulwar, Vijay Deotale, Narendra Raipure, Hemchandra Sahare, Jalil Pathan, Chunnilal Motghare and many activists were present in the rally.
