Gadchiroli Sept. 3 (District Correspondent) A rally of unemployed girls from remote areas of the district was organized for nursing assistant training jointly by the Gadchiroli Police, Pratham Education Foundation, Nashik and Mehmuda Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur recently under ‘Dadalora Khidki’ programme of the police department under the guidance of SP Ankit Goyal.
As many as 200 girls participated in this rally out of whom 120 girls were selected for the nursing assistant training-60 each by the Pratham Foundation and Mehmuda Shikshan Sanstha. All the selected girls were welcomed by giving them selection letters and bouquets at the hands of the police officers.
Similarly, as many as 28 tribal girls who were given karate training for self defence were also felicitated on the occasion by giving them track suits and bouquets.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sameer Sheikh, Additional SP congratulated the selected girl candidates and extended them best wishes for their further career. The Gadchiroli Police is always ready to help the unemployed youths in the district, he said. He called upon the youths to avail the schemes of self -employment and improve their living standard.
Mr. Somay Mundhe, Additional SP (Operations) also guided the girls and said that the district Police will always stand behind them.
Mr. Sandeep Karade, director of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dnyaneshwar Tathod, Subject Expert of Agriculture department, Tushar Meshram, Project Head of Mehmuda Shikshan Sanstha, Ashish Ingle, Ms. Bharti Prajapati of Pratham Foundation were also prominently present on the occasion.
The SDPOs, PSOs and other police officials from civic Action Programme took pains for the success of the programme.
