Gadchiroli Nov. 9 (District Correspondent) The festival of democracy has started in the district from Friday with the home voting of the elderly voters above 85 years and disabled for Assembly General Election.
In Aheri Constituency all the 38 voters registered for home voting cast their votes. Kishtaiya Kommamera, Vardhana Modut, Chandraiya Bontala from Sironcha in Aheri Assembly Constituency, Jaibunnisha Sheikh of Aheril, Munir Md. Sheikh, Joseph Miz, Yashodabai Rapartivar, Anjanabai Mohurle from Ettapalli and Nagorao Lengure, Gunapriya Patil of Aheri, Amar Kamilwar, 98-year-old Mr. Jagdish of Mulchera taluka, Fanibhushan Mitra, 88-year-old female voter, Basanti Vishwas,35-year-old disabled voter, Sumanta Sushil Mandal and others were registered for home voting. All these voters voted on Friday.
Homevoting was started from Friday in Aheri Assembly Constituency. In Armori Assembly constituency, home voting will begin the similar way. In Armori Constituency, 138 voters above 85 years and 72 disabled voters and in Gadchiroli Assembly Constituency, 117 voters above age of 85 years and 40 disabled voters have been registered for home voting.
A total of 277 voters above the age of 85 years and 128 disabled voters have been registered for home voting in the district of Gadchiroli. Additional Collector Vijay Bhakre and election officials from Mulchera taluka congratulated the voters who participated in the democratic process and felicitated them with shawls and bouquets on behalf of the administration.
